Silverado Trail Home, Napa Valley
This project initiated because the retaining wall was failing and the entrance walkway was pulling away from the existing building. In rebuilding the retaining wall, entrance walkway and new entrance portico, the opportunity arose to create a wine cellar within the new structure. A striking winding staircase was carved out of crawlspace under the house to connect the entrance hallway, with a grand entrance to the new wine cellar below.
