Green Design: Fetzer Vineyards, Hopland
Fetzer Vineyards Administrative facility is a 12,000 square foot rammed earth office building and is one of the largest rammed earth commercial buildings. Designed to function completely “off the grid”, the offices use sophisticated environmentally sound building techniques including sustainable building materials, solar energy, natural lighting and passive heating and cooling. Fitted with photovoltaic cells the building generates almost all of its own power.
